'Love Wokingham' Photography Competition 2018

What do you love about Wokingham?

The tranquil parks, the historic buildings? The bustling market at weekends? Or particular events, such the the International Street Festival? Or special people? Who makes a difference?

Under the theme of Personalities and Places the town invited you to take part in the 2018 photographic competition to find, through the images you take, what you love best about Wokingham.

There were two categories - under 18s and 18+. There were three prizes for each category:

  • First prize £100
  • Second prize £50
  • Third prize £25


Prizes will be presented by the Mayor of Wokingham at The Cornerstone, All Saints' Church, Wokingham at 11am on Saturday 13th October

'Love Wokingham' Photography Competition 2018 - ADDITIONAL CATEGORY

A further prize will be presented in the 'Love Wokingham Annual Photographic Competition – under 18s category'.

The winner will receive a framed copy of their photograph, an inscribed trophy and a cheque for £100. You will have your photograph taken with the Mayor when the prize is presented.

The competition is sponsored by more arts and Wokingham & East Berkshire Camera Club .

How to get there.

Wokingham and East Berkshire Camera Club (WEBCC) is a successful club made up of enthusiastic, friendly members of all ages and abilities which is growing in size. It currently has approaching 80 members. We meet at the Cornerstone in Norreys Avenue on the first four Thursdays of each month between September and June.

Our meetings are a rich mixture of Talks (technical and artistic), Print and Projected Image competitions, photographic excursions, together with informal educational sessions.

How to get there.

Bracknell Camera Club has been around since 1954 and is one of the largest clubs in the South East with a total membership of around 130 and typical attendance of 50 to 60 at our weekly meetings.

We meet on Mondays at the The Bracknell Open Learning Centre. The main programme runs from September to June with a mix of social events, photographic competitions and talks by visiting photographers on their work and technique.

Annual membership is £43 single or £10 student (in full time education) - that's around £1 per session!

You are welcome to come along to one of our meetings to see if you like us and will be made very welcome. Just ask for the Membership Secretary on arrival.
